Observation and Recovery in St. Mary's Cardiac Cath Lab
Cardiac Cath Lab Observation and Recovery (CLOR) is located on the 1400 hallway of the Center for Advanced Medicine. The 12-bed unit consists of all private rooms with bathrooms for pre- and post- cardiac procedure patients.
Both inpatients from the hospital and outpatients from home come to the rooms to have procedures. This includes:
- Cardioversion - electric shock to put the heart back into its normal rhythm
- Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE)
- Combination TEE/Cardioversion
Outpatients can be discharged from this area.
Patient's families are encouraged to wait in the CLOR room during the procedure if the patient is taken to the Cath Lab or in a waiting area if the procedure is being done in the CLOR room.
