Restricted Visitation Guidelines Lifted at St. Mary's
03/17/2010
Please be aware that effectively immediately, the restricted visitation guidelines set in place due to the flu have been lifted. The decision to discontinue the restricted visitation guidelines was made based on guidance from the Indiana State Department of Health.
However, we continue to encourage visitors to postpone their visit if any of the following apply:
They have flu-like symptoms including cough, sore throat, fever, nasal congestion, muscle aches, vomiting or diarrhea
They have had contact with someone who has known H1N1 virus or flu-like symptoms within the past seven days.
Standard practices regarding infection control still apply. Patients with flu-like symptoms should stay in their rooms and will be given masks to wear when taken out of their rooms for testing or other needs.
